Are you an Actuary with passion for Solvency II and an interest in leadership? Our client is looking for a department lead to look over the actuarial department and the active lead of the Solvency II team. You will be responsible for two small teams (consisting of 2 people each) in the Munich entity.
The position also involves coordinating actuarial results across the company’s insurance and non-insurance entities across Europe.
Your tasks
– Support the Group Actuarial Function and the Group Risk Function in their activities
– Overseeing the calculation and consolidation of Group Solvency II processes,
– Deal with executive boards
– Providing quality services and expert guidance on the actuarial product department, as well as being an active team lead function for the Solvency II team.
– Coordinate with local insurance companies on Solvency II reporting.
– You will be in contact with regulators and major reinsurance companies
– You will interact with the finance teams
– You will have the opportunity to be introduced to product development because you will be involved in modelling investment and portfolio management.
– 50% management and 50% technical tasks
Your Profile
– 8+ years in the life insurance sector
– Extensive knowledge in Solvency II – Life reserving
– Ideally, you have experience in setting up processes between teams and entities of a group and consolidating results
– Experience in team leadership
– Knowledge of actuarial software would be beneficial
– Hands on mentality
– Fluency in English
